Hi. I’m John, an ultra-endurance runner, Outward Bound instructor, bicycle tour guide, traveler, writer, photographer, and plant-based enthusiast. While training for a series of ultra-marathons, I began experimenting with my food choices in an effort to optimize my athletic performance. What I found was that a whole food, plant-based diet allowed me to recover faster and have more energy. I also learned that eating this way reduced my impact on the environment more than any other lifestyle choices I could make while also causing minimal harm to other living beings.
